Savitri had a mid-semester choir concert on Thursday. She was still getting better from a cold, so it was a long day for her. They sounded great. This is a picture of just the advanced choir class. She's in the top middle.
That same night we had a little adventure. Our fire alarm/carbon monoxide alarm kept going off. The first time it went off we thought it was just a battery problem, and we shut it off and went back to sleep for a few minutes before it started up again. Then we wandered around the house to make sure nothing was on fire, etc. Everything was fine, so we went back to bed. The alarm went off again about 10 minutes later . It didn't wake us up again since we were already wide awake.
Just to be safe we left the house and called the fire department. They came to make sure the house was safe and to test for carbon monoxide and other gasses.
At around 1 am they cleared us to go back inside. The alarm didn't go off again after that. We're thinking maybe the humidifier in Savitri's room was setting it off, but it's never done that before. Alas, it shall remain a mystery. We were all very tired the next morning, but very grateful for the kind firemen who came to check on us.
On Saturday we were able to get together with Aunt Bev and her daughter Paige and her family. They were visiting Houston this week for the Rodeo. Aunt Bev is Ben's dad's sister.
Rohan sent this photo of the Saratoga Springs Temple where he went on Tuesday before calling us.
It's a little cold there.
He says all the snow is melted though. At least for now.
