A Grand Canyon Birthday

We left Houston at about 5 a.m. on Thursday morning and arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, about 13 hours later. The drive went well, with Ben, Rohan, and me all taking turns driving and napping.

In the morning we visited the Albuquerque Temple grounds before heading to Four Corners.

At Four Corners we got to be in four states at once: Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. Rohan requested that we go here as a waypoint in our journey so he could get a photo of his bum sitting in all four states. Bruce played Twister, and Savitri did a backbend.

Our next stop was the Grand Canyon. We stayed in a hotel in the national park there. It was amazing! I got to spend my birthday looking at nature's wonders. 

Before we left on our trip, Susan made me a coconut tres leches birthday cake. It was so yum!

We left the Grand Canyon to travel to Utah on Saturday and arrived at our rental house in Cottonwood Heights before dark. 

We even got to see Aunty Brielan and Uncle Sam before bedtime. And today we were able to see David and Daniel and his family.
