We started our trip last week with a visit to Grandma Gayle and Grandpa Lynn in Layton, Utah, where there was a big party to say goodbye to Amanda and David's family who are on their way to live in Serbia for a few years.
The kids, and some of the adults, loved the big waterslide they rented.
Brielan and Sam were there too.
We were able to go to Salt Lake City to see their new home and visit them.
We visited the Layton Temple, which is under construction, and the Bountiful Temple where Ben and I were married.
On Monday, Grandma and Grandpa took us four-wheeling in Mantua--which for some strange reason is pronounced man-a-way--where we saw a few beaver dams and houses and lots of pretty scenery. Rohan got to drive, too.
We drove to Shelley, Idaho, on Monday after ATVing to see all our Butler family. We stayed in a rental home with Edwin and his family. There are way too many of us to all stay in one house anymore. Maria took us on a walk along the Snake River in Idaho Falls one day, and then the kids went swimming at the Shelley City swimming pool.
The night before David and Meghan's wedding we had a big barbecue in Joseph's backyard. He has a fun hobby farm in Shelley with chickens, and ducks, and cows, among other things.
The wedding day was beautiful, but very hot. David and Meghan got married in the Idaho Falls Temple, and the luncheon and reception were in Rexburg, near BYU-Idaho.
Things started to fall apart a little the day after the wedding when a few of us got a stomach bug. Some of the people who were still well went to Cave Falls to have a picnic. Rohan and I stayed home with some of Edwin and Jennifer's sickies and watched movies.
We were all well enough to fly home yesterday and are enjoying recovering from a very busy, very fun week.
