One Last Hurrah

When you have 20-foot high ceilings, replacing a ceiling fan becomes quite the operation. We had to rent scaffolding and spend lots of time climbing up and down assembling and disassembling it and installing, not one, but two ceiling fans. (We didn't like the first one.)

Gratefully, everyone made it through unscathed so we could have one last family fun day before the kids go back to school on Wednesday. Where did summer go?

We enjoyed the farmers' market in Tomball. They had these great blended watermelon and lime slushes. It was really refreshing on a blisteringly hot day.

We stopped for a BBQ lunch at Rudy's. Soooo gooood.

And then we drove to Brenham to the Bluebell ice cream factory to get delicious $1 scoops.

It was a fun day and now we are ready (maybe?) to tackle another school year.
