We flew to Colorado on my birthday
and stayed with Leonora, Ben's sister, and she made me an awesome chocolate cake. Yum!We were able to visit the Fort Collins Temple.
And we had loads of fun with our cousins. Here's Bruce and Clara.
Rohan and Matthias became really good buddies.
We visited Scheels, which is an awesome sports store with an indoor ferris wheel!
It also has the world's largest Pac Man game, a mini bowling alley, a shooting gallery, and a big animal display. They had some sports stuff too.
On Thursday we were able to go to Picnic Rock in Poudre Canyon. The water was freeeezing.
Fossil Creek park was one of our frequent haunts when we lived in Colorado. They boys think the play equipment got smaller since we left.
On Friday we headed to Wyoming via Rocky Mountain National Park. It was beautiful.
Uncle Edwin, Aunt Jen, and Uncle David took us all rock climbing in Lander the day after we arrived. Aunt Rachel and Uncle Linden and family were visiting too. The kids had fun sleeping outside in tents and on the trampoline. We had fun sleeping inside a quiet house.
Ben built a few cairns up in the mountains.
I got to hold Maria's new sweet baby, Gavin.
We also got to see Uncle David before he left for his internship in Utah.
Five of the Butler kids made it for the weekend.
I lost count of how many cousins we had.
We get to spend another week in Lander, so we will get to see the amazing fireworks on July 4 this week.
