We painted teeny pumpkins this week and put them outside the front door. It made me miss my front yard full of home grown pumpkins in Colorado. I decided I like the warm weather here in October though, so it's a trade off.
Bruce started his orthodontic treatment this week. He got spacers (little rubber things between his back teeth to make space for metal bands to go around them.)
They don't put the goopy stuff in your mouth to take a mold anymore, so he got a fancy 3-D scan of his mouth so they can fit him for an expander next week. They almost had to do the scan twice though, because the machine had some flashy buttons that Bruce couldn't help pushing, and he turned the whole thing off before the technician saved the scan. Luckily, it autosaved. That kid.
I finally worked up the courage to make Savitri a dress that she picked the fabric out for about a month ago. Thanks to Susan's help, it turned out pretty well. It's Elsa, Anna, and Olaf fabric.
Yesterday, we spent the day driving to and enjoying the Texas State Fair in Dallas.
It was packed. Like Disney World on the Fourth of July packed. We enjoyed it anyway, though.
All Savitri wanted to do was get her face painted. She was so happy with her hearts.
Bruce got to volunteer in the magic show.
We visited the on site aquarium and saw this great snapping turtle.
May favorite was the enormous ferris wheel.
