Bittersweet Week

Preschool has been great for Savitri. She loves the teachers and the songs and especially the finger painting. She has also been loving putting bows in her hair like Fancy Nancy for school.
Rohan was installed as a student council officer for fifth grade at school this week.

Later that night, Savitri and I went to the neighborhood night out while the boys were at Cub Scouts. She had fun at the cake walk, in the bounce house, and on the rock wall.
Bruce had an orthodontist appointment this week and will start orthodontic treatment this coming week with spacers and then an expander to make room for all his big boy teeth to come in. Before his appointment he brushed his teeth. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and he left the faucet on in his bathroom, probably on full blast.
We came home around dinner time, three hours later, and Rohan asked, "What's that dripping noise in the workshop?"
Yep. So this happened.

We are going to have some repair work to do both upstairs and down. We're grateful the flood managed to avoid any carpeted areas.
Rohan had surgery on Friday to remove the rods from his arm that he got when he broke it in the spring. He's recovering well and not in too much pain.
It was a bittersweet week. We are grateful for all our blessings and hope that soon we will have a boy out of his cast and a ceiling without a hole in it :).
