Non Stop Summer Madness

I am tired all the time. This is why.
We have been swimming (with temperatures in the high 90s) nearly every day of the week.

 Bruce started swimming lessons, too.
We went to the Houston Zoo. The temperature was also in the high 90s that day. (Just assume that everything we do is in the sweltering heat from now until October.)
 Savitri loved the elephants.

Bruce loved the dinosaurs. (Don't ask why there were animatronic dinosaurs at the zoo. They were cool.)
Rohan loved the turtles and tortoises.

We all loved going with the cousins.

We painted masterpieces for family home evening. They are going to be displayed in the upstairs TV room, if I ever get around to hanging them up.

We shot off tons of fireworks with Susan's family and some friends. The little girls retreated to my room to watch from the window. It was really loud.
Our neighborhood HOA puts a flag up outside each house on the Fourth of July.

We went roller skating on Two Dollar Tuesday at the roller rink. This was my personal favorite. It was indoors and air conditioned! The kids are all skating really well now.
We set up the badminton net out front.
We assembled perler bead animals for hours on end for three days in a row. Those beads were a good investment.

Ben went on a bike ride with Rohan and a couple by himself, in between watching Tour de France highlights.

We watched The Secret Life of Pets at the Show Boat Drive In. It was so much fun.

When we can't stand the heat any more, we play inside and eat snow cones at Buzzles! Savitri has a mean left hook on Wii boxing.

We are so glad to have the kids home from school so we can play with them more. Now if only I could figure out a way to siphon off some of their energy so I could use it. Happy hot summer everyone!
