Crawdads are Gross

We had another week full of summer adventures starting with more swimming lessons and a trip to the park with our friend Charety. She brought "equipment" for crawdad fishing and my boys were all over that. Rohan turned out to be pretty good at luring gross freshwater shrimp things to grab onto yucky chunks of waterlogged hot dog pieces.
We took lots of family walks and bike rides.
And cooked together.
On Tuesday I set up a big slip and slide for the neighborhood kids and we had loads of fun at the park by our house.
After that it was all garden work, work, work, since we got a load of mulch delivered and had some planting to do.
The back yard is now done for the most part and that makes us happy.
We went to the HP family picnic and ate yummy barbecue and snow cones. The kids loved it.
On Friday, Susan, Paul, and family came to stay with us. We had a great time playing with the cousins.

In case you cant tell, that's Uncle Paul under that pile of kids. He doesn't look too comfortable, but at least he didn't have to watch the yucky crawdads swim around in a little bucket before Rohan dumped them back in so he could catch them again. I won't be buying hot dogs again any time soon.
