Fairies, Waterfalls, and Dinosaurs

Lest you think that my headline has nothing to do with reality, let me explain. Earlier this week we gathered with the other neighborhood kids to make fairy houses. It was quite the extravaganza.
Rohan made a two-story model.
Bruce, has a good "eye" for fairy architecture.
Savitri's was a bit more flashy.
And I think a fairy has already taken up residence in mine.
On Wednesday we headed to Steamboat Springs. We had a great time visiting hot springs and sightseeing.
Fish Creek Falls was beautiful. The river was raging with spring runoff.
The Strawberry hot springs were so hot only Rohan and Ben managed to get all the way in. It was a beautiful setting.

The town itself had many springs and lots of fun things to see and do.
On Friday we took a day trip to Dinosaur National Monument in Utah. The kids loved touching fossils and seeing all the prehistoric stuff.

We also stopped in Grand Lake and ate a great restaurant, though I was suspect of it at first. The ground was littered with peanut shells and the tablecloths were cowhide. The food, however, was delicious.
We had a great week. It was nice to have Ben with us for a few days. It's going to be hard to get back to work tomorrow.
