We started the week off with a fun Halloween party at Rohan's school, followed by trick-or-treating at Ben's office.
Here's Bruce pinning the face on a pumpkin in Rohan's classroom.
We had lots of fun and have waaay too much candy now. The best part of the night was hearing the boys' great-grandparents divvying up the candy they wanted like little kids after Rohan and Bruce had gone to bed :)
On Thursday we headed to Colorado Springs for a vacation. We stayed in a cute house near town and visited lots of local sights.
The Manitou Cliff Dwellings of the Anasazi Indians
Outside the house we stayed in
The Garden of the Gods (photo is sideways :)
ah, that's better
Grandpa, Ben, and the boys went to Cripple Creek while the rest of us went to the local flea market.
A little geocaching
Saving the world one rock at a time
Seven Falls was slightly disappointing, but gratefully we only had to take an elevator and not climb all 200 plus steps to the top. The scenery in the canyon on the way to the falls was fantastic, though. The other sad part of the trip to Seven Falls was that canyon was spelled 'cañon' on all the signs. It was all I could do not to pull out my Sharpie and start fixing.
We wanted to drive up to Pike's Peak too, but the road was closed, so we had to settle for looking at it from down below.
