On Tuesday night Ben's dad suffered a mild heart attack. The tests they ran on him showed he needed surgery. On Thursday morning he had a quadruple bypass. He is out of the ICU and we are happy to see him recovering well. We're hoping he'll be out of the hospital this week.
We will be staying in Idaho for an extra week or two. Ben will work from here. We are grateful he has a job that makes that possible. In between all the hospital visits we did a few things.
The grandkids played in the irrigation water. It was hot most of the week.
Rohan and Grandma worked on puzzles. I was glad he had someone else to do them with! I am not a puzzle person.
The boys and their cousins romped on the upstairs bunkbed. No injuries reported.
Yesterday we did a fireworks show just for the kids. The big Fourth of July show was too late at night.
Check out David, Ben's brother. He was lighting the fireworks for us. Picture of a pyromaniac, right?
The boys looked cute for church today, and so did my cute niece Isabel.
Spending extra time with our family is nice. We just hope Dad will get better soon . . . and that someone will mow our lawn while we are gone.
glad to see that you are all enjoying the Idaho life while you are busy taking care of things there. Wish that we could mow your lawn for you.
