Hot and Cold

Well, I don't know about the rest of the family, my favorite part of the week is that swim season is over! Savitri did well in her races yesterday, but it was about 100 degrees with a "feels like" temperature of 113. Gratefully, the pool was indoors, so we got a few breaks from the heat. We also brought lots of popsicles and a fan.

 On the other end of the spectrum, Ben and Rohan have had a wonderful, if chilly, week in Alaska. They started their adventure with a helicopter ride to the top of a glacier where the hiked with a guide.

They enjoyed the beautiful Alaskan scenery and fished the next three days for halibut and salmon.

The adventurers fly home tonight tired, with sunburns, and with lots of fish.

We had an exciting week here too. Grant came home from his mission! We all went to the airport to welcome him home. The kids made him posters.

Bruce had no desire to go fishing, so he stayed here and had fun with us and his friends. He's still working on painting his table, too.

We are looking forward to our fishermen coming home and being all together again, and to eating some yummy Alaskan fish.
