Even though her voice was still recovering from being sick, Savitri sang with her school choir at their Christmas concert. It was good, but it was kind of sad that all references to the Savior were removed from the songs they were singing. They either skipped those verses or hummed the words instead of singing them.
We put up both our trees this week. Savitri and I did the one in the front room, and everyone worked on the family room tree.
We took our annual photo of the kids in front of the tree. I always thought that this would get easier as they got older, but they still won't settle down and hold still for a photo! This one (one of many attempts,) came out well, though.
Bruce participated with the other church youth in a skit at the ward Christmas party. He enjoyed doing it with the other boys his age.
Bruce and Savitri had a Christmas piano recital last night at a nearby assisted living home. They did great! Bruce played "In the Hall of the Mountain King," for one of his songs, and Savitri had a duet with another girl from her class.
In non-Christmassy good news, Savitri was the runner up in her school spelling bee. She did amazing!
And Rohan made the varsity soccer team! He's going to be a striker this year. Go number 18!
