We were blessed to have the Joneses and the Hardies to share Thanksgiving with this year. Splitting up all the cooking is always nice too. Ben cooked jerk turkey in the smoker and regular turkey in the pizza oven. They both turned out great. Cristy and Susan brought lots of pies and everything was deelish!
Earlier in the week, Susan took Savitri to Brenham with her to work on a Billion Graves project and to have some Bluebell Ice Cream. It was already decked out for Christmas there.
On Friday, a few brave souls went camping at Double Lake near Coldspring, Texas. About an hour away from us. Bruce and I went up and spent some of the day there going for walks, playing games, and roasting hot dogs, but then we drove home once it got cold and left Savitri, Rohan, Ben, and a few of Susan's family to camp overnight. They had a good time but had to come back a little earlier than expected the next day because of rain.
We have so much to be thankful for: our family, our friends, our home, and most of all the gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ. Happy Thanksgiving!
