Oregon: The House in the Mountains

We took extra precautions on our trip to Oregon, to avoid getting the Corona virus, or any other kind of sickness. Masks made the airplane ride a little uncomfortable, but we kept them on anyway.

We reached Ben's brother Richard's house in Buxton, Oregon, at night and in the morning, the men who were there helped Richard build a deck off the back of his house. The house is still under construction, but it's almost done.

It's set in a pretty forest with loads of space, and the weather is always mild. Some of the family set up tents in the yard for sleeping. The kids loved having a big sleepover together.
We all went berry picking at Tom's Berry Patch. I might have eaten more than I picked.

There are 35 Butler cousins in all, but only 32 made it to the reunion, and not all of them went berry picking.

At night we had a campfire and hot dog roast, and smores, of course.

Uncle Richard's house a fun place to be. It was so good to be around so much family.
