Fall in Texas

Savitri's new friend, Molly, came to play this week. They were over the moon about their first play date together. They're sitting on my new couch. Here's a better view of it, with Rohan chilling.

I got a free couch online and had it reupholstered. It was a lot of work, but I like how it turned out. Bruce likes the soft velvet and proclaimed that the couch is his special couch.
Bruce also did some carving at Scouts this week. Quite frightening to set him loose with a pocket knife, but he did pretty well.

We also got to hang out at our friends' pool this week. It's been so hot. The kids said the water was kind of cold, though.

After months of begging and lots of chores to earn it, the kids got to go indoor rock climbing. They had so much fun.

Rohan also helped his dad get wood and  keep working on our built-in upstairs. Can't wait for it to be done!
