It has been nice enough to play outside a few days these last two weeks. Sorry to those of you under a few feet of snow.
Ben had good weather for his 50-mile bike ride near the San Jacinto Monument last week, but it was still cold enough to freeze his toes. He and Paul did a great job finishing the ride.
We had "Great to be 8" at our house last week. That's where all the little kids in our ward who are turning 8 learn about being baptized this year. Bruce is one of them!
Our old neighbors and friends Stacy and Robert Ziegler came to see us for the long weekend last week. We had such a good time. Stacy and I got to go antiquing. While Ben was riding, we took the kids to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and we didn't even lose any of them.
There was a special exhibit there where you could build Legos for as long as you wanted. They loved that.
Bruce got to pretend to be a weather reporter, too.
We liked the museum so much we went back again this weekend and took Ben with us. This time we watched a 3-D dinosaur movie and went into the butterfly and insect exhibit.
We visited the dinosaurs again too.
I'm going to try to explore downtown Houston a little more this year. There's so much to do there.
