Our First Week Here

The truck with all our stuff arrived on Tuesday. We've been busy unpacking since then. Well, most of us.
A neighbor from church loaned us a Christmas tree because all the stores here were sold out of artificial ones. Thanks Taylor family!
We made a special run to the H.E.B. grocery store for some essentials. Three flavors of Bluebell ice cream.

We also had a delicious sushi/Chinese dinner at Jimmy Chi's restaurant in Pearland, Texas. Jimmy was a foreign exchange student with Benjamin's family in high school. He's stayed family since then.
We are liking Houston so far. The weather has been chilly, but not too cold. The roads are almost navigable. The people are nice. The neighborhood is quiet. The ward is welcoming. We already have callings! Ben is teaching the 9 year olds in Primary and I am a nursery helper. We have been very blessed and are grateful the Lord is leading us along. Have a Merry Christmas this week!
