The boxes piled up at the old house.
Aunt Leonora and family came to say goodbye to us at the hotel. We miss them a lot.
My dad surprised me with a visit on our second day here. So of course I put him to work, pruning bushes and papering the kitchen shelves--on his birthday.
Rohan's birthday was this week too. He turned 9! Note the math on his cake :)
Aunt Susan made him a delicious cake and we had a party at her house.
Some things I have noticed since our move are, one, the neighbors are very serious about their Christmas lights. The picture does not do it justice. About half the yards are very decorated.
Two, people love their Texas flags and other Texasy type things.
And, three, even in the winter, the laundromat is a very hot place to be.
The moving truck arrived today, so we will be happy to have our own washer and dryer back, and everything else.
