The Final Lap

We had lots of end-of-school-year activities this week. Savitri's school choir did its "pop" concert and sang lots of Disney songs. She had a short solo in one of the songs and played the piano for "Candle on the Water." She did an amazing job.

The 6th grade awards ceremony was on Thursday and Savitri got awards for all A's, her DI club, ELA, and Social Studies.

School was cancelled on Friday because of bad weather. There was a huge storm on Thursday night causing massive power outages and flooding. We were not affected, but some of the schools lost power.

The swim meet on Saturday did not get canceled. Savitri was happy about that. The girls in our tent played games in between races and we all had a hot day at the pool.

Rohan assistant coached his last games at the YMCA this week. His teams were so sad to say goodbye. The kids all signed a cute card for him to thank him. 

 Bruce took his AP World History test on Wednesday. No photos of that though! He is exempt from finals this coming week since his grades are high enough not to have to take them. I wish they had done that when I was in school!
