Most people go somewhere warm for spring break-- Mexico, Florida, the Caribbean--not us! We went to New Hampshire! Turns out grandparents are much more of a draw than the beach, and they are in New England!
We rented a house in Rye, New Hampshire, and my parents drove up from Connecticut to meet us. We had a great time playing in the snow and at the beach.
We also played lots of games with Grandpa Clark and Grammy.
On Friday we headed to Rockland, Maine. We did some sightseeing and had some good seafood on the way.
In Rockland we visited Mary Ann and David Small, longtime friends who Ben met when he was on his mission there. Mary Ann weaves and she taught Savitri and Bruce how to use her loom. It was good to see them after so long.
On the way to the airport we stopped at another lighthouse and visited a few places where Ben served on his mission.
We also stopped at Moody's Diner for donuts and whoopie pies.
We had a great spring break, and we miss everyone, but we're happy to be home.
