Cousin Time and Spring Break

We got to watch the Jones cousins for a few days while their parents ran a Ragnar race in Arizona a couple weeks ago. It was great to have everyone all together for a few days.
Although we spent the first few days of spring break battling sickness, we made it to Marble Falls, near Austin, on Thursday.
We stopped at the state capitol building on the way there. It's made out of a pinkish-brown marble.

The Texas bluebonnets were out all along the road, along with lots of other pretty wildflowers. We got a picture of the rare Savitri flower.

We spent the night in a hotel and then headed to Pedernales Falls State Park the next day.

There were some great rock formations and a section for wading. My children waded up to their necks almost, so it was a pretty wet ride to Aunty Mala's house in Austin after that.

In Austin, we were able to have some more water fun the next day.
