We started the week off with a little more furniture finishing. Ben made me a desk! I love it. It's sitting in my sewing room/office now, and my laptop has a home there.
We had some big events this week. First, Bruce turned 8! His cake was an edible version of his favorite emoji. Gross, but he loved it.
On Saturday, Bruce was baptized. He and Ben did a dry run in the hallway first.
We had lots of family and friends there. Even Aunty Mala and family drove down from Austin.
On Sunday, we got to see Daddy and Aunty Rafat in Columbus, TX. That's halfway between San Antonio, where they were celebrating Ede with family, and where we are in Houston. It was a quick visit, but good.
On Sunday, we had Savitri's birthday dinner, too. Her cake was a little more girly than Bruce's.
And today she turned 5! She opened presents in the morning, went swimming at a friend's house, and then went to a bouncy place in the evening. It was a full day.
This mom needs a rest after a week of big events. What a great week!
