If you've been watching the news, you'll know it's been raining A LOT here this week. About the only day it didn't rain torrents was when we took Rohan to the post office to get a new passport. There was only one waiting chair. They shared. Sort of.
Our house is okay, but a few streets in our neighborhood flooded one day, and people in our ward were affected. Here's the parking lot of somewhere Ben went to help move someone out of a flooded apartment. The water was halfway up the cars at its worst point. The bike trails at the park were closed too, so Ben and our little riders didn't get a weekend bike ride. They did get to play on the very wet playground though.
Here's Savitri all dressed up for her dance recital dress rehearsal this week. The recital itself had to be postponed because of flooded roads and bad weather.
She was so tired after the dress rehearsal that she really didn't mind. She was happy later in the week when we got to watch my friend's two dogs because she was evacuated from her house.
As you can see, we finally have some sunshine today. We had dinner with the Jones cousins and then had a hair-do line. I'm not sure if anyone actually got their hair done.
We are looking forward to Memorial Day tomorrow. It's supposed to be sunny too. There's still lots of flood recovery to do here and more rain coming. We'll keep you updated.
