We left Utah early on Monday morning to start our three-day drive home to Houston. We spent the night in Albuquerque after a long day of driving. The next day we stopped in Roswell, New Mexico. We met some interesting folk at the local museum and learned about the history of why Roswell is so alien crazy.
We made it to Abilene, Texas, that night via Waco. I got to see the famous silos that appear in Chip and Joanna Gaines' home improvement show and to visit the Magnolia stores. It was about 105 degrees, so we didn't walk around for very long.
We arrived home safely on Wednesday and are back home with Bruce, who said he was going to miss the peace and quiet now that we were back. There is lots to catch up on at home. Savitri is organizing her room before school, Bruce is preparing to go to college, and Ben is busy building things for and organizing his shop.
Savitri and I made time to go to our friend Mallory's birthday party. It was a fancy tea party and we enjoyed seeing our friends we hadn't seen in the six weeks we've been gone.
We have lots of changes going on at home with school starting and Bruce leaving and Rohan coming home in November. Life just keeps moving and moving. We are grateful for our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ who help us to stay sane despite everything.
